The main thrust of our practice is commercial property. It is the core of what we do. We work closely with our clients and their professional advisers, which help us understand their needs and objectives. We undertake a wide variety of cases, providing a tailor-made service.


These include: –


  • Negotiation of leases and advice on specific lease issues, for example rent reviews, dilapidations, alterations and repairs.
  • Negotiation of Rent Deposits and other forms of security.
  • Licences required under leases e.g. in order to assign or sublet or carry out alterations
  • Lease renewals under the 1954 Landlord and Tenant Act.

Property Investment

  • Acting for investors of commercial and mixed-use buildings.
  • Grant of leases and sell-off of land.
  • Assembling a site for development.
  • Portfolio Sales and Purchases.
  • Auctions.
  • Options and Overage arrangements.

Over the years we have acted for a number of retailers and are able to advise on complex Shopping Centre leases which are often on a turnover basis.
